A Message to Parents

At Gold Rush Wrestling, we believe wrestling is one of the greatest vehicles for building discipline, confidence, resilience, and leadership. Our mission is to develop athletes for the long game — not just to win matches today, but to build young men and women who are prepared for success in sport and in life.

Wrestling is demanding. Growth in this sport requires patience, consistency, and trust in the process. We ask our families to partner with us in reinforcing the values that shape both performance and character. When coaches, athletes, and parents are aligned, development accelerates.

Our core values guide everything we do.

Our Core Values

Communication

Strong teams are built on clear, respectful communication.

In wrestling, growth happens through feedback, correction, and honest conversations. We expect:
We teach athletes to advocate for themselves — a skill that serves them far beyond the mat.

The Long Game

Wrestling development takes time. There are no shortcuts.

At Gold Rush, we prioritize:
Not every season will be perfect. Not every match will be won. But if the process is consistent, the results follow. We are building wrestlers who peak at the right time — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Maximum Effort

Effort is the standard.

In wrestling, there is nowhere to hide. Preparation, conditioning, drilling, and live goes all demand focus and intensity. We expect:
Talent may open doors, but effort keeps them open. We measure success by how an athlete trains, not just by the scoreboard.

Leadership

Every wrestler at Gold Rush is expected to lead.

Leadership means:
Older athletes lead by example. Younger athletes lead through effort and coachability. Wrestling builds accountability — and accountability builds leaders.

Legacy

Chase Pami’s journey from a state champion in Nevada to an elite international wrestler and respected coach underscores his dedication to the sport. His contributions continue to inspire and shape the future of wrestling in the United States.

Proud to be contributing member of the Reno, Sparks, and Carson City community.

The coaches at Gold Rush not only helped him excel in the sport but showed him a side of wrestling that had Everett falling in love with it.

We have taken our kids to a variety of wrestling programs and clubs around Reno over the years and nobody has been able to impact them the way Gold Rush has.

As a parent I really appreciate the leadership of Joey and his coaching staff and the accountability they demand of their athletes. We love Gold Rush!
