The Gold Rush philosophy begins with an emphasis on correct form, proper technique, and precise execution. This philosophy results in the best competitive performance possible.

Led by Collegiate Joey Ghione - Head Coach

As a youth athlete, Joey claimed three New Jersey state medals. He gained Division I experience at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and achieved All-American status at Elizabethtown College

Produced Multiple D1 Wrestling Scholarship Recipients

Adhering to mental preparation, strength, and flexibility allows us to accomplish our goals. While we are striving for excellence at Gold Rush, we remember that the pursuit of victory without FUN, is actually NO FUN at all.

BEFORE JOINING

Thanks to the love and support from the Reno community, we are growing! In an effort to keep all athletes safe and eliminate overcrowding on the mats, we ask all interested families to contact us before registering their kids. If you want to get started with Gold Rush, please contact us with your child's full name, age, and type/duration of wrestling experience they have, if any.

USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP

All athletes must be members of USA Wrestling in order to register with Gold Rush.

Proud to be contributing member of the Reno, Sparks, and Carson City community.

The coaches at Gold Rush not only helped him excel in the sport but showed him a side of wrestling that had Everett falling in love with it.

We have taken our kids to a variety of wrestling programs and clubs around Reno over the years and nobody has been able to impact them the way Gold Rush has.

As a parent I really appreciate the leadership of Joey and his coaching staff and the accountability they demand of their athletes. We love Gold Rush!
